KASTELLOS, RETHYMNO
Kastellos is a small village of a hundred inhabitants, about 14 kilometers south of Rethymno, built at an altitude of 420 meters. It has been inhabited since ancient times since it is a settlement of the Late Minoan period with an acropolis where two rows of walls and three towers from later years have been preserved.
